Urdu Translation and the Validation of a 14-Item Measure to Assess Stress Management Skills in Healthcare Workers: Measurement Invariance Across Gender

This study aims to conduct an Urdu translation and a validation of the ISBF Stress Management Skills Scale in two distinct phases. The first phase includes forward-back method for ISBF. second cross establishment psychometric properties scale. A sample 500 adults working health care was taken from different hospitals dispensaries. method. exploratory factor analysis (EFA) confirmatory (CFA) with invariance measurement. total reliability scale is reported be .812. EFA revealed two-factor structure scale, configural, metric scalar across males females, comparable latent mean scores females. CFA showed goodness-of fit indices factors. good internal consistency values. model value goodness index, which .979, adjusted index: .961, comparative .993, incremental root square error approximation (RMSEA) value: .033. Good values composite convergent validity were measured both dimensions shows that this diagnostic tool can help assess skills used manage stress. For criterion validity, coping Inventory Stressful Situations (CISS-21) used, positive correlations. subscale stress management Health Promoting Life Style Profile II (HPLP-II), also Significant differences found between healthcare workers those without skills. group indicated females have greater as compared men. translated validated instrument will helpful understanding behavior settings.
